About Shanghai Yuemao Mansion Model Room
Shanghai Yuemao Mansion is a model room designed for a residential development in Jiading District, Shanghai. The apartments are compact, with main layouts of around 80 to 90 square meters. The design was inspired by the resin sun plate used in the building. Linear elements are repeated and techniques are simplified to suit the small space. Circulation areas are integrated into the functional rooms, which expands the usable area. Materials include plain wallpaper, sun board, metal inlay, gray tiles and beige marble.

- Design Challenge
- The optimization of House type is the most important work of the designer. After careful consideration, the interior design avoids the drawbacks of the original building, omits all traffic area, integrates it into the interior functional space, and expands the use area.

- Research
- The inspiration for the design came from the building's material, the Resin Sun Plate. In the design as far as possible the linear element reuse, simplifies the technique, the material in the small space. Preserve the original dimensions and sense of space.
- Inspiration
- In the design of the passageway, the designer to metaphorical visual expression, the street lane of the city shade and Ancient Wood Jiagao "moved into" indoor.
