The Colonnade is a residential interior design located in Hong Kong. The layout focuses on bringing the surrounding city view into the interior spaces. Materials are selected to create contrast in colour and texture. Bright golden glass is placed opposite a matte metal wall, and a bright marble wall stands beside the entrance. These pairings highlight the contrast between light and shadow. The concept draws on film, an art of light and shadow. Materials, lighting directions and projected shadows replace people as the storytellers of the space.
