Sounds of Silence is a residential apartment interior located in the heart of Taichung city. The project covers an internal space of 115 square meters. The dining, living and study areas are combined into one open space that supports family life. A large curtain wall frames the external landscape like a picture and brings natural sunlight into the rooms. A darker entry corridor with a semi-transparent automatic door forms a calm transition from outside. The ceiling was levelled to a uniform height, giving the interior a simple and quiet character.
