About Emirati One Luxury Car Showroom

Emirati One is a car showroom and museum, located in Burj Vista tower, on the boulevard, facing Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The project with a total of 997 square meters is a masterpiece that salutes fine craftsmanship and pays tribute to world heritage, an homage to intricate details that have defined automotive design throughout the years.

Situated within the trajectory of contemporary experiential retail design, Marwan Mrad's Emirati One Luxury Car Showroom represents a significant achievement in the synthesis of architectural ambition and commercial purpose. The space emerges from a design philosophy that positions the automobile as cultural artifact worthy of museum-quality presentation, elevating the act of viewing and selecting a vehicle to an immersive aesthetic experience. The sweeping curvilinear ceiling element, traced by continuous luminous bands, suggests influences from parametric design methodology and the fluid formal language associated with late twentieth and early twenty-first century architectural experimentation. The deliberate restriction to an essentially monochromatic palette of whites, blacks, and grays creates a backdrop of refined neutrality against which the displayed vehicles achieve maximum visual prominence, their metallic finishes and colored bodies becoming the chromatic events within the architectural composition. Technical accomplishment manifests in the seamless integration of lighting systems within architectural surfaces, the precision of curved form execution, and the considered acoustical and atmospheric qualities suggested by material selections. The fiber optic ceiling treatment introduces a contemplative dimension, evoking celestial observation and suggesting aspirational themes of limitless possibility. The sculptural staircase element demonstrates how vertical circulation becomes architectural opportunity, its flowing form contributing to the overall formal vocabulary while facilitating movement between levels. The design achieves a balance between spectacle and sophistication, creating drama without excess, and luxury without ostentation. Visitors are invited to consider how architectural environment transforms the experience of objects within it, and how the boundaries between gallery, showroom, and theatrical space might productively blur in service of elevated commercial experience.

Production Technology
The entrance is chosen on the axe facing Burj Khalifa.

VIP offices designed in the mezzanine floor, lounges overlooking the ground floor. Glass used for partitions allowing natural light to get in.

White Korean material on main entrance, and grey concrete flooring give a nice first impression. Sahara Noir marble is used for floors and some office walls.
3D mosaic on the walls in areas that accommodate the desks.

LED strips installed on the floor, separate showroom pedestrian paths and cars displays.
Design Challenge
The showroom is part of a curvy tower with irregular plan shape and Dubai regulations forbid changes to the tower exteriors.

We tried to lose the irregularity by keeping focus on the central part of the showroom and overcame this obstacle by using exterior sizes for cars distribution where each window accommodates one car.

The client has many cars to be displayed which was impossible in the beginning, but we found the perfect distribution while making sure all cars are visible from all sides.
Project Duration
The design and concepts are created in April 2021 in Dubai. Execution is currently in progress. The showroom is located in Burj Vista tower, in a strategic location on the Boulevard, facing Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Operation Flow
Regardless of the project main function of showing top luxurious cars strictly chosen in the showroom, it is an interactive hub itself in result of its special location and surrounding environment in downtown. You are always able to enjoy the delicious coffee served in the barista lounge in the ground floor while watching the view of Burj Khalifa as well as amusing yourself by watching a collection of the rarest cars worldwide all in one room.
Research
Project research phase was practical and theoretical at the same time where the team intended to visit few car showrooms existing in Dubai and some art galleries as well to check the standards all showrooms designs depend on, as well as car specialized galleries techniques.

Most researches that has been done in order to help the project grow, were about functional use and psychological effects on visitors like one very helpful research: Human Visual Quality: Art Gallery Exhibition for Mohamad Hanif Abdul Wahab and Alia Fatin Ahmad Zuhardi, Procedia, Social and Behavioral Sciences.
Inspiration
The project is a masterpiece that salutes fine craftsmanship and pays tribute to world-class heritage, an homage to intricate details that have defined automotive design throughout the years. It is that type of showrooms that amazes you with an extraordinary display stations and yet, a lot more to see.

Design Interview about Emirati One Luxury Car Showroom

The main principle is making the best use out of the showroom spaces as per client’s requirements and allocated area, yet giving a modern environment that indicates type of items displayed.

Giving a futuristic look yet make the showroom blend with the surrounding environment

Executing as per the design as we are doing in the current time.

The most important phase of designing which is planning and working on the layout took almost two weeks while discussing with client also, to be followed by two more weeks for working on the visualizing and choosing materials and textures.

Each and every design style follows some standards yet, no space can look the same even if designed as per the same style. The showroom boundaries and shape itself gives it a unique look supported by our black and white curvy lines theme to give the modern style, yet a distinct feel.

We have no intention of selling the project as we aim to do even more outstanding projects and keep competing on the fast track of worldwide interior design domain.

A good designer is always up and ready for new experiences and challenges. It is enough for him to understand the philosophy of human activities and needs which enable him to design all kinds of functions, so no particular project function only is to be designed but it is a sensible progress in its earliest phases.

It is good to stay always up to date with all is ongoing worldwide in design field.
Instagram, Behance, and Pinterest websites may be good visual libraries to keep your mind always fresh, but life experiences are definitely your best teacher especially when you are living in Dubai, city of innovation and modernism.

Mostly the clients looking for extraordinary and creative experiences, also investors who have futuristic ambitions and ideas.

Emirati One; It defines the location of showroom and nationalism of owners as (Emirati) and defines the elite character as (one)

Some software skills like: 3ds max- AutoCad- Photoshop and some hand sketching skills as well.

Our most unique aspect of the design comparing to the main is the Shape as the shapes of lines we used are the most important determinants.

No collaboration with another party was needed regarding design part as DPI design team consists of a group of hardworking creative architects and interior designers, yet we cooperated with Bluerhine Company for technical details regarding the Hologram technology and the screens visuals.

Automation in such a project is one of the most important techniques used in the showroom as it eases the control of certain kind of lights to keep focus on some displays for example.

Architectural researches about space were mostly done in addition to some studies about shapes, colors, textures effect in interior spaces to accomplish the final goal.

Main challenge was the hard and unorganized shape of the showroom itself in addition to fitting certain number of cars as per client requirements within a limited area.

We were sure about creativity level of our design as we heard about the competition, we were so excited to know we will be competing with the most creative minds around the world.

Each project comes with a new lesson, new customer mindset and requirements, in such projects we are glad to deal with a space in a crowded area with an irregular shape and some out of the box ideas.

Would like to appreciate the proficiency and quality of questions.
