About Rebirth Art Space Installation
Rebirth is an immersive commercial art space designed around the theme of renewal. The space tells the story of an artificial intelligence girl who recreates the earth in the future through memory extraction and remodeling. The interior is divided into three parts along the route of travel: the last earthling, the memory of the earth, and the creation. Simulated animals are made through 3D modeling, sculpture, mold production, painting and hair techniques. Built-in mechanical structures and control systems create lifelike movement.
Hebei Puteng Culture Media Co., Ltd's Rebirth Art Space Installation emerges from a rich lineage of immersive environmental artworks that blur boundaries between sculpture, fashion, architecture, and theatrical presentation, positioning itself within contemporary practices that investigate transformation, material metamorphosis, and the poetic potential of hybrid forms. The installation demonstrates remarkable technical sophistication in its handling of diverse materials, from the precision-engineered metallic components featuring individually articulated feather-like elements to the masterful integration of traditional marble carving with contemporary mixed-media sculpture. The chromatic orchestration reveals careful consideration of viewer experience, deploying warm orange and coral tones that advance visually against the cooler silver and steel elements, creating spatial dynamism while maintaining visual coherence through a unified warm-dominant temperature. The flamingo figure, rendered through an inventive combination of soft feathered textures and rigid metallic armature, suggests themes of natural beauty preserved through artificial means, perhaps inviting meditation on the relationship between organic life and human craft. Classical references appear in the carved marble pedestal with its frieze-like relief work, establishing dialogue between ancient sculptural traditions and contemporary installation practices. The architectural context of the glass-roofed space contributes essential qualities to the work's reception, transforming natural daylight into an activating element that animates reflective surfaces throughout the day. The human presence, adorned in translucent protective covering, might be understood as a figure in transition, sheltered yet visible, participating in the installation's broader meditation on vulnerability, protection, and transformation. One might consider how the work invites viewers to contemplate their own relationships with spaces of transformation and the permeable boundaries between observer and observed, natural and constructed, permanent and ephemeral.

Through the combination of technology, art, and fashion elements, the design team breaks the traditional commercial space form, providing people with an unusual journey to welcome rebirth, and reflect on the value of life and fashion.

- Production Technology
- The simulation animal adopts the entity special effects technology, which replicates the biological features through 3D modeling, shape sculpture, mold production, painting and coloring and hair technique. Combined with the built-in mechanical structure and control system, it recreates the lifelike appearances. In addition, the animal outer skin made of glassed steel, foam latex and silicone, taking into account the durability, and helps the complete presentation of the bionic action.
- Design Challenge
- This is an original space design with a complete worldview story. The design team is able to put the design concepts into action and turn vision into reality through scene-based visual communication, advanced production techniques and outstanding mechanical technology. Representative images and scenes are selected to create a unique spatial context, combined with the white space in the theme to grant each viewer the power to interpret and acquire different understandings.

- The project is designed and developed in Hebei in June 2020 and launched in China in December 2021.

- The interior is divided into three parts by the route of travel: the last earthling, the memory of the earth, and the creation of creation, which respectively describe the blending and confliction of the past, modern and future civilizations, the process of reshaping the future by memory, and the scene after the rebirth of the earth. The layout also provides rooms for shop displays in the space, bringing consumers a unique visual experience and consumption experience.
- Research
- The design team has created an immersive commercial art space that integrates technology, art and fashion centering on the idea of rebirth, with a storyline of thinking about the past and the future, reshaping memories and lofty ideals to explain the definition of rebirth. It is a spirit of reflection and change, and also a way of evolution, where joint action will proceed our future forward and give us more hope.
- Inspiration
- As a continuation of the Skp brand existing immersive retail space form and story, the project aims to break the narrow concept of Skps and deepen impressions of consumers through visual images. At the same time, the design team wants to bring consumers pleasure and happiness through a unique immersive experience, by applying a scenario beyond reality to weave a magnificent and fantastic world of wonder for consumers, and experience.
