About Sprout Proposal Ring
Sprout is a proposal ring inspired by Tagore's poem and the designer proposed to his wife with it. It adopts an organic ring set with a single round brilliant cut diamond, which looks like a blooming flower in a naturally growing plant vine. The designer completes the design in 3D software, and uses a 3D printed wax mold to cast 18K gold. Finally, it is manually polished, and inlaid with a round diamond.

Grand Interview about Sprout Proposal Ring
Tagore's poetry gave me a direction in form, with vines and flowers. An organic form of expression. I have collected many pictures of organic plant roots, stems, and leaves, drawing inspiration from their connection structures and shapes. I sketch on paper, selecting the details and directions I want. Then I will use 3D software on the computer to combine the ideas in the sketch.
I am exploring and experimenting with the manufacturing team. We made a prototype for experimentation and ultimately decided to use a 3D printed ring, then flip the mold, pour metal, and polish it.
Meeting and getting married is like the process of a plant growing and blooming. Just like Tagore's poetry:“The spring flowers break out like the passionate pain of unspoken love”.
I like the feeling of 18k gold color, it is very fashionable and timeless. And this material is also the best in durability and technological maturity, so I use this material.
Because it was the ring I used to propose to, I put a lot of effort into making it a unique design. So I have been very passionate throughout the entire process and have set high expectations for myself.
I spent a lot of time considering how to set diamonds on the organic ring holder, and it didn't seem too abrupt. I suspended the bottom of the diamond, making the entire design stand out in its final form.
I feel that 3D printing technology will be widely applied in the field of jewelry design.I think the use of organic and curved materials will be more extensive and simple.
I have a background in automotive design and have frequently used curves in my career. So for my own brand, I also prefer to adopt organic curves. And I also like timeless materials such as Aluminum alloy and heavy metals. I will also try using parametric design as my design tool.
Strive to try new ideas, design boldly, and not be limited by existing designs.Don't worry about the limitations of manufacturing technology. The final result will be unforgettable.
The development of technology will make future wedding rings increasingly personalized and customized. From design to manufacturing, it will become increasingly simple and fast, which is an unprecedented challenge and opportunity for all designers. More interesting ring designs will emerge.
