About Inovance Industrial Automation Museum
Inovance Industrial is an automation museum located in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. The museum displays equipment and components linked to the development of industrial automation in the country. Thematic areas present an overview of industrial civilization, technological change and future outlook. Dynamic ring screens, interactive robotic arms and miniature models support the exhibits. Interactive large screens, touchscreens and intelligent lifts offer visitors three dimensional visual effects. The exhibition space covers 2160 square meters.
Shenzhen Iwin Visual Technology Co., Ltd's Inovance Industrial Automation Museum represents a distinguished achievement in contemporary exhibition design, merging sculptural architectural expression with advanced visualization technologies to create an immersive narrative environment celebrating industrial innovation and technological heritage, the installation positions itself within the lineage of experiential museum design that emerged from late twentieth-century institutional transformations emphasizing visitor engagement over passive observation, the sweeping white biomorphic ceiling forms suggest affinities with organic modernism and parametric design methodologies that employ computational tools to generate complex curved geometries responsive to spatial and programmatic requirements, at the compositional heart stands a luminous cylindrical display chamber presenting holographic renderings of intelligent elevator systems complete with annotated technical specifications and flowing data streams that transform engineering complexity into aesthetic wonder, this central apparatus functions simultaneously as technological demonstrator and sculptural focal point drawing visitors into contemplative examination of automation principles, the peripheral exhibition zones thoughtfully chronicle transportation evolution through carefully curated artifacts including period velocipedes and early automotive illustrations establishing historical context that enriches appreciation of contemporary innovations, the chromatic strategy juxtaposes cool technological blues emanating from digital displays against warm amber documentary panels creating thermal and temporal contrasts between future aspiration and historical foundation, material selections demonstrate sophisticated understanding of institutional durability and experiential quality with polished concrete platforms providing grounded solidity beneath ethereal projected imagery while matte white architectural surfaces diffuse natural light entering through generous glazing, the spatial choreography guides visitors along intuitive pathways that reveal information progressively while maintaining clear sightlines to the commanding central display, one might observe how the design successfully balances pedagogical clarity with aesthetic ambition creating an environment where learning emerges through sensory immersion rather than didactic instruction alone, visitors are invited to consider how such spaces shape our understanding of technological progress and industrial achievement.

- Production Technology
- The museum utilizes LED displays and touchscreens as a medium for displaying information to visitors, creating an interactive experience. Additionally, it employs dynamic ring screens, interactive robotic arms, and miniature models, all controlled by multimedia control technology, to establish an intelligent performing system that enhances the artistic atmosphere with advanced technology.
- Design Challenge
- The challenge lies in creating an immersive experience of the industrial civilization for visitors. To overcome this, the design team incorporated intelligent technology in the exhibition hall, which included interactive screens, interactive spaces for EVs, and smart lifts to present 3D visual effects. The integration of these facilities ensured the intuitive conveyance of the exhibition content while providing visitors with an immersive experience that evoked a sense of future technology.
- Project Duration
- The project was designed and developed in January 2022 and officially opened in December 2023 in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.
- Operation Flow
- The exhibition hall employs cutting edge technologies to present modern visual effects such as light, electricity, three dimensional animation, and film. Coupled with the interactive functionality of the large screen, which multiple individuals can share, the exhibition hall offers visitors an immersive audio and visual experience. The screen displays the product information in real time, providing visitors with up to date information.
- Research
- Throughout history, there has been a drive towards the innovation of industrial control, as exemplified by the flying wooden bird of Lu Ban, the wooden oxen and horses of Zhuge Liang, and the mileage drum wagon of Zhang Heng. All of these inventions reflect the pursuit of people for a better life. To this end, the museum showcases the evolution of modern industrial control automation technology and cutting-edge industrial products, emphasizing the legacy and growth of industrial civilization.
- Inspiration
- The history of industrial civilization inspired the project, and central island booths have been placed throughout the ground floor in a way that looks like water droplets in space. The floor textures imitate the river flow running between the booths, representing the transformation of accumulated water into a river. The river flow continues onto the first floor as floating belts that extend the entire space, bringing light and transparency to the exhibition hall while connecting various areas.
