About The Mordin Hotel Ghuangzhou Furnishings

The Mordin Hotel Ghuangzhou is a five star business hotel located in China Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City. The interior follows a modern minimalist style and frames views of Phoenix Lake. Low saturation neutral tones such as off-white and light gray form the base, while deep gray accents and light blue details add contrast. Glass curtain walls, matte light gray stone and fluorocarbon coated metal profiles shape the building. Business and leisure areas follow parallel circulation, and the multifunctional banquet hall adapts to meetings or dining events.

Shenzhen Mellow Soft Decoration Co., Ltd's furnishing scheme for The Mordin Hotel exemplifies the sophisticated integration of materiality, spatial drama, and atmospheric refinement that characterizes the most accomplished contemporary hospitality design. The installation engages with international luxury hotel traditions while introducing distinctive elements that elevate the arrival experience into something approaching ceremonial significance. The double-height volume establishes immediate grandeur, its vertical proportion suggesting both aspiration and welcome, while the carefully orchestrated material palette grounds this expansiveness in tactile richness. The polished stone flooring, with its dramatic veining patterns, functions as a geological canvas whose natural variations provide visual interest that rewards contemplation. Above, the suspended sculptural installation of translucent crystalline elements introduces an ethereal quality that balances the earthbound solidity of stone, perhaps evoking natural phenomena such as wind-scattered petals or crystalline formations. The illumination strategy demonstrates sophisticated understanding of how light shapes spatial perception and emotional response, with concealed cove sources producing soft wash effects while focused accents highlight key moments within the composition. The furniture arrangement creates an intimate human-scaled zone within the larger architectural volume, its cream upholstery and organic forms offering comfort and invitation. Library-style shelving populated with carefully curated objects suggests cultural depth and intellectual engagement. The interplay between warm neutral tones and the cool green glazing establishes chromatic tension that enlivens the space without disrupting its fundamental serenity. Visitors might consider how the design balances monumentality with intimacy, how natural materials connect interior experience to broader environmental contexts, and how light functions as an architectural medium shaping perception and mood.

Production Technology
The façade features transparent, coated and tempered glass curtain walls, offering both UV protection and thermal insulation. Light gray stones with a matte finish deliver delicate texture and enhanced weather resistance. Metal profiles are sprayed with fluorocarbon for durability, corrosion resistance, and a refined texture. The design achieves a dialogue between transparent and solid materials, using cutting, polishing, and bending techniques to ensure structural stability and business style.
Design Challenge
Creating a landmark building in a hightech industrial zone while blending harmoniously with its surroundings was a major challenge. The hotel employs a contemporary business aesthetic, using transparent glass and textured stone to define the form of the building and highlight its highend business style. The carefully chosen low saturation neutral tones allow the facade to mirror the natural scenery of Phoenix Lake, achieving a harmonious dialogue between architecture, city, and nature.
Project Duration
The soft furnishing of the hotel commenced in April 2021 in Guangzhou and was completed in May 2022, announcing the official opening of the hotel.
Operation Flow
The hotel features parallel circulation of business and leisure areas, with clear functional zones, allowing different guest groups to move freely without interference, enhancing operational efficiency. The multifunctional banquet hall can be easily adapted for meetings or dining events, precisely accommodating diverse needs. The interplay between indoor and outdoor landscapes guides guests through a subtle transition from the bustling city to the serene, private hotel.
Research
Rooted in the industry and city integration in China Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, the hotel responds to the needs of business and leisure travelers. Based on insights into the local industry and guest profiles, it centers on delivering both a refined business environment and a comfortable leisure experience with optimized circulation, materials, and landscape, raising the standard for high quality reception in the district and establishing a new benchmark for business hotels.
Inspiration
Inspired by the concept of industry and city integration in China Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City and the surrounding natural landscape, the hotel uses modern, minimalist lines and seamlessly incorporates landscape to create a functional and appealing city living room. Low saturation neutral tones such as offwhite and light gray set an elegant base, deep gray accents show business style, and light blue serves as visual highlights, together forming a minimalist yet refined atmosphere.
