Interview with Ertunc Vatanperver

Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
I studied interior architecture at Maltepe University. Later, I attended Milanoda NABA's interior architecture certificate program. I have an architectural firm right now. My Target was also clear when I was a kid, to do new things, to find new ideas ...
Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
The company offers interior design, product design and architectural presentation services. I have an innovative and exciting team.
What kinds of works do you like designing most?
All designs that are intelligently designed, touching the soul of the human being.
What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
Screw design, You do not have to tell too much, Lift the screw design out of the world, many things will not be created.
What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
I like to use a computer while I work, and I like to use a 3d printer.
Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
Think with all aspects, emotional impact function, production cost, etc.
What makes a design successful?
To be remembered for many years, to be innovative in every age...
When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
I do not have a formula. There is a lot of factors to have a bad design, the color texture functionality starting from the aesthetic direction ... this question is too long in response :)
From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
All designs are about people, because everything in our circle interacts with us. Even if we make a design for animals, the result is again touching humans. It is a very philosophical expression. :)
How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
It might be better, I hope it will be even more colorful with internet and 3d printers.
Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
I live in Turkey, No the place I live does not affect me. The world affects me, the world is now your home with new age communication tools.
