About Royal Apartment Comfort For Life
Royal Apartment is a residential interior design for a 64 square meter apartment in Kiev, Ukraine, completed in 2019. The plan includes a kitchen studio of 33 square meters, a bedroom, two large closets, a dressing room at the entrance and a bathroom. The style is modern classic with gold details. Venetian stucco, marble matched to the kitchen facades and floor tiles are used, and handmade coffee and dining tables are combined with Italian furniture. The narrow corridor was widened, and the bedroom and the living room were exchanged so that daylight reaches the whole space.

The SKS studio team completed the design project and turnkey repair of an apartment of 64 square meters. As a result, the apartment has a kitchen studio of 33 square meters, a bedroom, two large closets, a dressing room at the entrance, a bathroom. The repair is made in the style of modern classics with elements of gold. The walls of the apartment were decorated with paintings by Ukrainian artists. - Production Technology
- The interior of the apartment used both handmade elements (tables: coffee and dining) and furniture of Italian factories. On the walls are Venetian stucco, as well as marble specially matched to the color of the kitchen facades and floor tiles. A special cosiness is given to the bedroom by specially made to individual sketches fabric panels to the ceiling, and the bathroom is equipped with Italian plumbing, which was successfully selected by the designers of SKSDESIGN studio for mosaics.
- Design Challenge
- The most difficult task in the implementation of the project was to correctly re-plan the space so as to maximize the use of the useful area of the apartment: to implement an independent dressing room and as much space as possible for storing things (which happened thanks to two large closets). The narrow corridor was expanded, and the bedroom and the living room were interchanged so that daylight filled the whole space and the living room did not seem elongated.

- The inspiration for creating this design was contemporary art. We combined comfort, simplicity and luxury in a small space. This is an apartment in which any modern person wants to live.

Contemporary art was the design inspiration for the Royal Apartment creation. Comfort, simplicity and luxury have been combined in a small space.
The repair has been made in the modern classics' style using gold elements. The apartment walls are decorated with paintings by Ukrainian artists.
As a result, the apartment has an area of only 64 square meters with a spacious kitchen-living room, bedroom, bathroom, dressing room and an extra storage space.

Foremost, we intended to achieve spaciousness and functional layout. The original apartment layout was extremely non-functional, a long narrow corridor, a small living room, large bedrooms, a small bathroom. As for the design they were experimenting with metal and colors' and materials' combinations. The Customer wanted art deco elements and the gold availability. It was necessary to mix these elements with others so that it was both cozy and spacious.
Our SKSdesign company is actively developing, improving the art deco mix style at the moment, creating unique metal products in collaboration with metalworkers especially for our projects.

distinctive features of such a design and implementation is that a majority of metal elements are handmade, a non-standard combination in the marble tiles' bathroom and gold mosaic tiles. A mixers' golden collection from the Bugnatese Italian company, the “smart home” system application for an electric curtain, anti-flood system and playlist transfer from a smartphone to a “home theater” system, numerous mirrors to increase space and of course some pictures of Ukrainian artists.
The apartment style implies a lot of gold inherent elements in royal luxury, as well as the "Royal Tower" residential complex name of the apartment. Therefore, we did not think about the project name for a long time - the name came by itself

since this is an implemented project (like all our projects) but not just design one, more than 50 professionals of various specialties worked on it. These are builders and tilers, electricians, plumbers and furniture specialists, the “smart house” system specialists, specialists for working with marble and metal, decorators, etc. The team works like an orchestra in our SKS design company — we create a symphony becoming a masterpiece.
