About Mucha Custom Furniture
Mucha is a residential interior design created around the themes of health and calm. Art Nouveau guides the colors, materials and shapes, with earth, mineral and volcanic tones and soft plant and flower lines. Doors, walls and cabinets are integrated to support clear circulation and visual balance. Unfixed partitions connect the living room, dining room and kitchen for leisure, exercise and socializing. Curved corners and sofas soften the space. Formaldehyde purifying antibacterial materials and antibacterial fabrics improve air quality and hygiene.

- Production Technology
- The original purify formaldehyde antibacterial material improves air quality to ensure physical and mental health of occupants. The baking paintleads to good resistance to high pressure, wear and corrosion.
The arched oriented strand board developed by the brand helps to achieve a curved shape and save priming or veneering processes, whose surface is flat and not easy to crack.
Plated with the film easy to clean, glass doors are free of fingerprints and water stains. Sofas and chairs adopt breathable, antibacterial, mite resistant fabrics for hygiene, cleanness and comfort. - Design Challenge
- The challenge is how to integrate doors, walls and cabinets. It means not a simple combination of each function or a consistent style, but a balance among each function when catering to aesthetic taste of consumers.
To address that, natural colors, materials, patterns and technologies harmonize with each other in this project for visualconsistency. The embedded horizontal line of wallboard is the same as the metal narrow frame of doors or cabinets, and open cabinets inclined at an angle of 45 degrees is echoed by embedded bevel handles. Those details strengthen visual balance. - Project Duration
- This project was started in January, 2022, in Guangzhou, completed in December, 2022, in Guangzhou, and estimated to be launched in March, 2023, in China.
- Operation Flow
- The living room, the dining room and the kitchen are connected via unfixed partitions, which allows for more spacious space for leisure, exercise and socializing, leading to a convenient, comfortable lifestyle. Natural light into the kitchen via french windows links indoors and outdoors for a lively atmosphere.
Corners and sofas are designed with a shape of arc to create a round, smooth style for visual transition and extension, reducing a sense of insecurity caused by sharp lines or angles. - Research
- The combination of the earth tone and line elements strikes a balance between peach and dynamic, so as to make possible an exquisite, elegant modern style with a warm, harmonious home atmosphere. To render the space more close to nature and improve happiness of occupants at home, green plants and natural light are used for interaction between the space and natural environment, contributing to a relaxing space through the power of nature.
- Inspiration
- As the idea of comprehensive health is remoulded owing to the later pandemic era, a healthy and orderly living space satisfying the physical, mental and spiritual needs of consumers is more expected. Considering that, this project integrates the natural elements of Art Nouveau into interior design. It utilizes colors of land, minerals, volcanic rocks, etc. and soft line elements like plants, flowers, etc. to wake up the yearning for pastoral or outdoor life, and to create a peaceful, soothing atmosphere to enhance emotional stability of occupants for physical and mental health.
