About All We Need is Love Visual Communication

All We Need is Love is a poster that joins Chinese characters with English letters. The design is based on the Chinese character that means love. The character is formed from photographic images and also integrates the English letters l, o, v and e and the number 2023. Photography and graphics processing software were used to create the work, which measures 700 by 1000 millimetres. The poster can be displayed in public spaces. The aim is to show an ancient Chinese character in a modern visual form and to express the idea of unity and peace.

Unique Properties: This is an innovative design using text elements. It is to excavate the new form of Chinese character art, take the Chinese characters as the prototype, and to make full use of photography technology to deduce its charm, making the text more visual. In this way, the ancient Chinese characters have a new visual display and transmission.

Design Challenge: The challenge of this work is to design the ancient Chinese characters more visually and graphically without affecting the recognition of characters.

Operation Flow: This work can be posted in the various public environments, in order to achieve the role of showing studio image and warning humans.
Research: By exploring the design history and development of English font elements, this work aims to investigate the methods and measures of the interaction design between Chinese and Western characters , so that more people can understand the art of Chinese characters, and establish more exchanges and cooperation between in the east and the west. This is an innovative design using text elements. It is to excavate the new form of Chinese character art, take the Chinese characters as the prototype, and to make full use of digital technology to deduce its charm, making the text more visual. In this way, the ancient Chinese characters have a new visual display and transmission.
Inspiration: The creative inspiration of this work comes from the visit in UK. After in-depth study of English fonts, an interesting idea came into being. a connection between Chinese and English is been established .The Chinese character “love" made from special images. it integrates English letter "l' "o" "v" "e" and 2023. It symbolizes the power of unity to unite into love, and wants to express the power of peace through this design. These ingenious design presents the perfect mixture of Chinese characters and English letters, and also makes the ancient Chinese characters show a new modern style.
