About Trendi Mobile Application

Trendi prioritizes delivering an intuitive and user-friendly experience for consumers and business owners. The clean, modern look and easy navigation highlight essential information such as business hours, ratings, and reviews. One of their main strengths is their ability to cater to the diverse needs of different user groups. Consumers can easily find and explore new businesses, browse reviews, and decide where to spend their money. Meanwhile, business owners can showcase their products and services to attract potential customers.

Artur Konariev's Trendi Mobile Application represents a sophisticated achievement in contemporary location-based social discovery interface design, positioning itself within the mature lineage of mobile-first digital product development that has evolved substantially since the smartphone revolution began reshaping urban social behavior and hospitality discovery patterns in the opening decades of the twenty-first century. This interface system appears to engage deeply with the established conventions of map-based venue discovery platforms while demonstrating notable refinement in visual hierarchy, chromatic restraint, and information architecture that speaks to seasoned design thinking attuned to both aesthetic sophistication and functional clarity. The compositional strategy across the three presented screen states reveals careful attention to systematic design language construction, where repeated elements—navigation patterns, button morphologies, typographic treatments, iconographic vocabularies—establish predictable interaction models that reduce cognitive friction while maintaining sufficient visual interest through photographic content integration and strategic color deployment. The chromatic accomplishment merits particular attention: the decision to ground the entire interface in deep neutral tones approaching true black creates both practical advantage in reduced screen luminosity for evening usage contexts and aesthetic sophistication through the establishment of a gallery-like neutral ground against which content and interactive elements achieve heightened presence and clarity. The primary accent color, a vibrant electric violet positioned in the blue-purple range, functions with admirable consistency throughout the system as the signal of interactivity, current state, and brand identity, its saturation level calibrated to command attention without overwhelming, its hue selection distinguishing it clearly from common platform conventions while remaining within comfortable visibility parameters. The integration of photographic content introduces essential warmth and human appeal into what might otherwise read as austere digital architecture, with the food photography in particular demonstrating understanding of appetite appeal through warm incandescent color temperature, shallow depth of field creating focal emphasis, and composition that balances the plated subject with contextual environmental suggestions of conviviality and atmosphere. The information architecture reveals systematic thinking about progressive disclosure and contextual relevance: the initial discovery screen presents compact card previews permitting rapid scanning and comparison; the detail view expands available information substantially while maintaining scannable hierarchy; the map view privileges spatial relationships and geographic distribution while preserving access to essential identification and filtering tools. The typographic system, while necessarily constrained by the requirements of mobile screen legibility and platform convention, demonstrates careful optical balancing across the hierarchical range from display headings through body text to metadata, with sufficient scale differentiation to guide scanning without requiring excessive weight contrast that might compromise the refined tonal atmosphere. The pill-shaped button morphology, while certainly conversant with contemporary interface fashion, serves genuine functional purpose through its generous tap target dimensioning, clear edge definition against both photographic and solid backgrounds, and semantic clarity enhanced by icon-text pairing that accommodates both rapid visual scanning and assistive technology interpretation. One observes throughout the system a design intelligence that balances systematic consistency with contextual appropriateness, maintaining recognizable patterns while permitting each screen state to serve its particular purpose effectively, whether that purpose is discovery browsing, detailed evaluation, or geographic navigation. The integration of social proof elements—review counts, star ratings, live activity indicators—addresses the fundamental challenge of digital hospitality platforms: translating the rich sensory and social evaluation processes humans employ when selecting physical venues into the compressed, mediated context of screen-based decision-making, where photography, categorical metadata, peer validation signals, and proximity data must collectively substitute for direct sensory evaluation. The temporal and operational metadata—hours of operation, distance metrics, live activity counts—ground the interface in practical utility, acknowledging that venue discovery serves not merely aspirational browsing but immediate action-oriented decision-making where temporal and geographic constraints operate as primary filters. The map-based navigation screen demonstrates sophisticated cartographic simplification, reducing geographic complexity to essential navigational substrate while maintaining sufficient street network definition for orientation, the clustering visualization suggesting intelligent handling of density challenges at various zoom levels, the numbered pin system providing clear correlation mechanism between spatial distribution and list-based detail access. This mobile application seems to invite consideration of how digital product design in the social discovery domain has matured beyond purely functional problem-solving toward the cultivation of experiential qualities—aesthetic refinement, interaction pleasure, brand personality expression—that transform utilitarian tools into objects of engagement, platforms of urban exploration, and perhaps even subtle shapers of social behavior and spatial practice in contemporary metropolitan life, all while maintaining the fundamental promise of practical utility that justifies their presence on the most personal and proximate of computational devices.

Production Technology
During the initial stages of the design process, the team utilized various ideation techniques, such as brainstorming sessions, mind mapping exercises, and interviews, to explore multiple creative ideas and identify key insights and user needs that informed the design direction. In the subsequent implementation phase, the team utilized Figma to create and refine digital prototypes, enabling them to iterate on design concepts and collaborate seamlessly with team members and stakeholders.
Design Challenge
The hardest part of the Trendi design activity was overcoming the challenge of balancing the needs of different user groups, such as business owners and consumers, while ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user experience for everyone. One obstacle encountered during the project's development was reconciling conflicting feedback from stakeholders and user groups. This required a lot of creative problem-solving and collaboration to find solutions that satisfied everyone's needs.
Project Duration
Ukraine, Kyiv, the project began in March 2022 and continues.
Operation Flow
Trendi is a platform that helps people find and review local businesses. The app is designed to be user-friendly and easy to navigate, allowing users to search for food establishments based on location, category, and other factors. Users can read reviews, view photos, leave feedback, and stream. The interaction on Trendi happens through a combination of user-generated content and technology.
