About Jinbianruixiang Highrise Office Building
Jinbianruixiang Highrise is an office building in Jiulong Lake New City in Nanchang, China. The tower reaches 248.9 metres over 46 floors, with a total construction area of 140,012.68 square metres. The main tower is placed along the river at a 45 degree angle to open views in two directions. The shape is inspired by the local city flower, and the podium is arranged around the tower like petals. Cold bent glass and unitized curtain walls form the gradually opening facade. A central garden and a riverside green belt surround the building.
Zhubo Design's Jinbianruixiang Highrise Office Building represents a distinguished contribution to contemporary commercial architecture that thoughtfully navigates the dialogue between international modernist tower design and regional cultural expression. The project demonstrates sophisticated compositional intelligence through its arrangement of twin towers that achieve visual harmony through calculated asymmetry rather than mere repetition, with the primary tower asserting vertical dominance while its companion provides graceful counterpoint through subtly differentiated massing and materiality. The facade system merits particular attention for its refined articulation of the curtain wall, where deep blue-toned reflective glazing establishes a cool, professional aesthetic while warm metallic framing elements introduce humanizing warmth and create emphatic vertical rhythm that accentuates the building's aspirational height. Perhaps most distinctive is the integration of a traditional pavilion structure at the base, featuring characteristically upswept eaves that evoke centuries of architectural heritage while serving contemporary functions of arrival and ceremony. This gesture suggests the designers' commitment to cultural continuity, proposing that contemporary commercial architecture need not abandon regional identity in pursuit of international relevance. The generous parkland setting visible in the rendering indicates attention to biophilic principles and urban ecological responsibility, with mature trees and verdant lawns creating vital green infrastructure that serves both environmental and experiential purposes. The work invites contemplation of how commercial architecture might simultaneously project corporate confidence, honor cultural memory, and contribute positively to the urban landscape, asking viewers to consider the multiple stakeholders whose needs ambitious architecture must balance.

- Production Technology
- The most difficulties of the super highrise facade is how to deal with the towers contracted and gradually blooming shape. After conducting a geometric analysis of the towers skin,we combined the bifurcation points with the use space of the towers standard floor heights, controlled a certain warp value of the coldbent glass, and finally used unitized curtain walls to fit a beautiful shape while closing the openings with profiles.Ensure the fineness of vertical lines and incorporate flood lighting.
- Design Challenge
- The difficulty of the project is how to integrate Nanchang's local culture into the building so that it can not only become a new urban landmark in Nanchang's key areas, but also integrate it well into the city's waterfront interface, creating a clear and poetic theme. Highly identifiable places.
- Project Duration
- The project started in 2022 in Nanchang and finished in 2025.
- Operation Flow
- Through the three strategies of flexible and efficient, sky high tower crown, and dynamic ground, the tower adopts an outward looking design that takes into account both landscape sightlines and orientations, emphasizing the sense of spatial ritual while ensuring the friendly and open external urban interface. The super large central garden and The riverside green belt brings a healthy and enjoyable riverside life experience and creates a city landmark that mimics nature.
- Research
- The project is located at the core node of Jiulong Lake New City, facing the river and at the intersection of the blue and green axis, with excellent visibility and accessibility. Based on the comprehensive consideration of the upper-level planning, the main tower is arranged along the river at a 45 degree direction, with a two way riverside view. Use modern architectural language to complement the "Jinbianruixiang" element in the eternal masterpiece.
- Inspiration
- The design concept comes from local City Flower, Jinbianruixiang. The overall design combines the square and practical functional requirements of the tower. It adopts a petal design. The podium is arranged around the main tower like petals. At the same time, the architectural language is combined with the famous Tengwang Pavilion. The points are collected step by step, just like Daphne in full bloom, organically integrating the unique beauty and rhyme of the stamens with the architectural shap.
