Design Challenge: The design challenge of this hotel revolves around seamlessly integrating the local area's abundant geographical features. To achieve this, a meticulous approach to material selection is crucial, prioritizing durable and corrosion-resistant materials that can withstand the environmental conditions while enhancing the overall aesthetic. Additionally, the design process involves distilling the essence of the myriad traditional cultures within Chaoshan, incorporating elements that resonate with the region's heritage while creating a contemporary and inviting atmosphere.
Project Duration: The project started in March of 2018 and finished in May of 2021, and was opened in 2023 in Shantou, Guangdong Province, China.
Operation Flow: The Shantou Marriott Hotel boasts 315 meticulously crafted modern guest rooms and suites, each inspired by the rich intangible cultural heritage of Chaozhou and Shantou. Since its opening, the hotel has consistently maintained high occupancy rates, with over 300 rooms frequently operating at full capacity.
