About Nautilus Yacht Sales Office
Nautilus transforms an old yacht production facility into a prestigious sales and management office. Inspired by the fluid forms of yacht design, the space blends luxury and functionality. A sculptural reception desk, custom lighting, and an ocean themed nft display enhance the maritime aesthetic. Glass partitions, marble floors, and metallic accents create a futuristic ambiance, while illuminated pathways guide visitors seamlessly through the space.
Ezgi Gokce's Nautilus Yacht Sales Office emerges within the tradition of biomorphically inspired contemporary interior environments where architectural form borrows from natural systems to create spaces of fluid organic grace, engaging with a design lineage extending from mid-century Scandinavian organic modernism through parametric digital design exploration to arrive at this refined synthesis of maritime elegance and terrestrial commercial sophistication. The compositional achievement demonstrates exceptional spatial intelligence through the deployment of curvilinear architectural elements that flow seamlessly between horizontal and vertical planes, establishing rhythm and movement that guides circulation while creating intimate zones for contemplation and consultation, the undulating forms achieving both functional spatial division and sculptural presence that elevates the environment beyond conventional rectilinear commercial planning. Chromatic sophistication manifests in the carefully calibrated palette where cool dusty mauve and violet-grey architectural surfaces establish atmospheric serenity while warm champagne linear lighting introduces energetic counterpoint, the analogous color relationships creating visual coherence that unifies diverse spatial zones while strategic warm-cool contrast generates focal emphasis and dimensional depth, with the restrained saturation allowing material textures and lighting effects to achieve prominence without chromatic competition. Technical facility becomes evident in the precise integration of concealed lighting systems that transform architectural edges into luminous traces, the seamless material transitions between floor planes and ceiling coves, the refined detailing of slender black metal mullions that frame transparent and translucent glass partitions with jewellike precision, and the sophisticated upholstery execution visible in channel-tufted seating that introduces tactile warmth and rhythmic linear pattern counterbalancing the flowing organic surfaces. This yacht sales office appears to explore the translation of maritime spatial experience to commercial interior contexts, contemplating how the efficiency, material refinement, and flowing spatial sequences characteristic of luxury yacht design might inform terrestrial retail environments, celebrating the intersection of functional program requirements with experiential spatial poetry. The organic geometries may reference nautilus shell spirals and natural growth patterns, invoking associations with maritime exploration and the fluid forms shaped by water, while the luminous edge lighting could evoke the horizon line between sea and sky or the reflective shimmer of light on water surfaces, enriching the spatial narrative with poetic maritime resonance. The sophisticated material palette and refined execution position this work within the upper echelon of contemporary commercial interior design where spatial experience becomes integral to brand communication and product positioning, demonstrating how environmental design can embody the values of craftsmanship, innovation, and refined luxury central to premium yacht sales. One might observe how the organic flowing forms create a sense of movement and journey even within a stationary interior, perhaps inviting visitors to consider how spatial experience itself becomes a form of navigation, and how the careful orchestration of light, material, and curvilinear geometry cultivates an atmosphere that honors both the contemplative aspects of significant purchase decisions and the aspirational dimensions of luxury maritime lifestyle, encouraging extended engagement with the space as preparation for extended engagement with the vessels it represents.

- Production Technology
- The project integrates high-end materials and advanced construction techniques to enhance the luxurious and futuristic atmosphere. The reception desk is made of sculpted solid wood with a high-gloss lacquer finish inspired by yacht hulls. The flooring combines microcement and polished marble to create a seamless and reflective surface. A specially designed led lighting system highlights key areas, while metallic panels and glass panes enhance a sense of openness and modernity.
- Design Challenge
- The biggest challenge was to redesign an industrial facility while maintaining a sense of exclusivity and luxury. Achieving an inviting atmosphere in a previously cold and impersonal space required innovative spatial planning, customized lighting solutions and high-end materials. Inspired by yacht forms, the reception desk had to be precisely sculpted and the lighting balance fine-tuned to accentuate architectural features without overpowering the ambiance.
- Project Duration
- The project started in October 2024 and was completed in December 2024 in Izmir, Turkey. The design process involved extensive research and planning to transform an outdated yacht manufacturing facility into a prestigious sales and management office. The final space has been carefully curated to reflect modern aesthetics and functionality, providing a seamless blend of luxury and innovation.
- Operation Flow
- The design guides visitors through a structured and visually engaging space, resulting in a seamless user experience. Illuminated paths guide the movement, while the reception desk serves as a focal point, creating an immediate impression of luxury. Digital elements, such as an ocean-inspired NFT display, enrich the immersive atmosphere. Executive offices feature glass partitions and custom furnishings that promote openness while maintaining privacy and exclusivity.
- Research
- The research phase is focused on creating a space that balances luxury and functionality in an industrial environment. The study included the analysis of yacht showroom designs, customer expectations, and spatial ergonomics. The data was collected through market research, case studies, and interviews with industry professionals. The results highlighted the need for a visually striking and highly functional environment, leading to the integration of nautical-inspired aesthetic and digital enhancements.
- Inspiration
- the transformation of a former yacht building facility into a prestigious sales and management office. The graceful curves and craftsmanship of the luxury yachts served as a significant influence, shaping the space with nautical aesthetics. The fluidity of the water, the elegance of the yacht hulls and the exclusivity of the yachting world were the main sources of inspiration. The goal was to design an environment that embodied innovation, complexity, and the essence of the sea.
