- The concept of big mountain is the main spindle of design in this case. The streak of eaves is similar to the ridge which has ups and downs. To hang the large span ranges of roof plank on the wall is a big challenge for us. Another big challenge for us is to stay the large area of glasses without causing the global warming.

- By furnishing in deign. It makes outdoor environment be viewing and creates a relaxed place even in the corner. Using the glass material to separate living and sleeping area not only extend the vision but keep the privacy. It also possess a great sleeping quality without interference with the theme of neutral tonality. The special points for this opus are cabinets designed by containing exhibit and storage ability which can exhibit the collectable. Thoughtful design for collection room can be used to storage and exhibit.

- We use the design of raft foundation and S.R.C structural design. In the part of earthquake assessment reports, we make the level 8 earthquake-resistance numbers. We use a large number of Lo-e glass to beautify the appearance and have the effect of environment protection. In the aspect of landscape, we deliberately heighten the building and the fence to create the waterscape. It can not only maintenance the privacy but also have function of reducing temperatures. This case is a perfect combination of aesthetics and environment protection.

The outlook of the villa is an imitation of crest lines, and several materials are used as metaphors of natural images like mountains, wind, trees, and clouds. Design Interview about The Mountain Residential House
The exterior of building imitates the mountain ridge and uses the different materials to express the image of mountain, wind, tree and sea of cloud, and so on. Without too much decoration, using the natural stone to create the majestic visual effect.
Facing Mt. Ali, the establishment is built and designed under the philosophy of mountains. The outlook of the villa is used crest lines and vary materials to metaphor natural images like mountains, wind, trees, and clouds.
Because of winning this award, I will be better able to use my own knowledge to come back to social, and pass my experience on people who endeavor in the field of design.
The project design started in May 2015 in Chiayi City, finished in June 2016. And built from June 2016 to June 2018 December.

My design is not used by another company, I intent to produce my work by myself.
For me, design is like breathing. All the inspiration given by nature, every streak and light-shadow in nature is so beautiful and free. This is the best design!

In this project, the majestic landscape of Alishan is the core of inspiration for the design. We hope that the building is not only a simple living space, but also an expression of harmonious symbiosis with the natural landscape. Using mountain dwellings as a metaphor for Alishan architecture, we deliberately emphasize the architectural form It captures the ups and downs of the mountains and uses natural images to guide the design concept. It attempts to incorporate elements such as mountains, wind, trees, and clouds into the building, making the building itself a part of nature.During the specific design process, we chose to imitate the appearance of a ridgeline, making the outline of the building undulate like a mountain, creating a sense of hierarchy, and used a variety of natural materials to symbolize the natural landscape. In this mountain residential project, the commitment to environmental sustainability comes mainly from a deep respect for and awareness of the protection of the natural landscape. Alishan’s majestic scenery and rich ecosystem are the most precious resources in themselves, so we wanted the building to coexist harmoniously with the natural environment rather than burden it. The choice of low-emissivity (Low-e) glass is to achieve this goal. In this design project, we used the natural stone wall as the core element to introduce the natural beauty of Alishan. It not only serves as a visual connection, but also profoundly expresses the harmonious symbiosis between architecture and nature. The design of the stone wall is inspired by the majestic ridge of Alishan. Lines and layers of mountains, from material selection to detail presentation, we use multi-layered natural stone to give the wall a rich variety of shades, just like the natural texture of the mountain, making it an important focus in the living space.Technically, in order to achieve the stability and beauty of the stone wall, the team is particularly meticulous in the selection and arrangement of the stone. My experience living in Argentina has enriched my understanding of multicultural design, which is clearly reflected in the design of The Mountain. In designing a mountain home, we faced significant engineering challenges in achieving long-span roofs while capturing the natural landscape of Alishan.
