About Yuanfang Fine Club Commercial Space
Yuanfang Fine Club is a real estate sales office in Beijing that also serves as a club for urban life. The interior covers 745 square meters. Design elements are taken from the theme of a seaside vacation and arranged in a regular form that links the spaces. Areas for vacation experience, food culture, art, children and a bar with afternoon tea are combined. A large fish tank forms the reception desk. Wave patterned wood, wave patterned floor paint, arc shaped lines and soft tones replace sharp edges. The intent is to offer many life scenes in one place.
Yuanfang Fine Club Commercial Space, recipient of the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design, exemplifies a masterful synthesis of biomorphic architectural language with refined hospitality sensibilities, positioning itself within the contemporary discourse surrounding nature-inspired spatial design and the phenomenological experience of interior environments. JSD SPACE DESIGN demonstrates exceptional command of material expression through the central sculptural column, whose vertically ribbed timber construction evokes the structural logic of trees while the radiating ceiling lattice suggests canopy, branch, and the dappled light filtering through forest cover, creating an archetypal shelter experience within commercial context. The undulating partition walls function as spatial poetry, their rhythmic vertical elements creating visual music that guides movement and establishes intimate zones within the larger volume while maintaining visual permeability and connection. Technical accomplishment manifests in the seamless integration of disparate material vocabularies, from the warmth of natural timber to the cool sophistication of polished stone and concrete, unified through a carefully calibrated palette of earth tones and neutrals that speak to both Eastern design philosophies emphasizing harmony with nature and Western modernist principles of material honesty. The suspended fish sculpture installation above the bar introduces playful aquatic symbolism while demonstrating precision craftsmanship in its crystalline forms, suggesting themes of flow, freedom, and the ephemeral beauty of marine life. This spatial narrative invites contemplation of the relationship between constructed environments and natural systems, asking visitors to consider how architecture might honor rather than oppose organic patterns of growth and movement.

- It is not only a real estate sales office, but also a reconstruction of urban life. Designers use modern architectural thinking to extract design elements from the theme of seaside vacation, and extend a regular form to build the relationship between space. Besides, it integrates such functional areas as vacation experience, food culture, art enjoyment, children's space and bar afternoon tea, trying to subvert the well-behaved lifestyle of most urban people.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- The project covers a total of 745 square meters. Designers decorate a structural column in the atrium area into a giant and modern tree, with fluent lines and disparate lighting around it. The bow shaped bar shows the freedom, combined with the fish chandeliers, gives people the experience of seaside vacation. VIP room with the theme of fishing, all around of the room with arc-shaped electric glass wall. Children's district shows childlike innocence and delight.

- The front desk, consisting of a large fish tank, serves as the highlight of the reception area. With the wave wood decoration of smallpox and wall and the artistic floor paint of wave pattern, the leisure atmosphere of seaside vacation is refreshing. The computer negotiation area adopts the real-time interconnection system, allowing customers to get the real-time information and experience the sense of technology brought by the data age.
- Design Challenge
- The characteristics of independent and closed immersion of the restaurant subverts the traditional dining mode. The new media art of 360-degree holographic projection is putted to use on the interior of the space, which brings fantastic visual impact and artistic tension to the guests, and realizes the dining environment of various scenarios. At the same time, through the immersive interactive experience, we can get the feeling of being there.

- The project started in February 2018 in Beijing and finished in May 2018 in Beijing.
- Operation Flow
- The streamlined art decoration fits the tone of the whole space. A large number of arc design instead of sharp edges and corners, and soft tones eliminate the cold and hard touch.
- Research
- Yuanfang Fine Club is located in the golden section of Dongfeng North Bridge in Chaoyang District, Beijing, overlooking Beijing Sun Park and International CBD. It gathers the most advanced art design in the world, a single life scene has been difficult to survive here for a long time. Designers use modern architectural thinking to extract design elements from the theme of seaside vacation, and extend a regular form to build the relationship between space.
- Inspiration
- In recent years, under the background of consumption upgrading, people's living habits are undergoing major changes. It becomes particularly important for how to meet the needs of different life scenarios of target customers, while giving consideration to consumers' sensory experience and thinking identity. Therefore, designers are trying to change the unchanged lifestyle of most urbanites with a diversified, changeable and multi-dimensional Club operation model.
